Working at More Than One Dealership

One login can reach more than one dealership. You do not need a second email address, a second password or a second browser — you switch between them, and you are only ever working in one at a time. This article covers getting added to the second dealership and moving between them.

Shared: your login, your password, your passkeys, your two-factor settings, and your own details — name, phone, driver license.

Not shared: your permissions. They are set per dealership, so being an account admin at one does not make you one at the other. The same is true of registration access: it is granted for a particular dealership, not for you generally.

Click the button at the bottom of the left sidebar — it shows the dealership you are in, with your email under it. If you belong to more than one, the others are listed under Switch dealer with a tick beside the one you are in. Pick another and the whole app reloads into it.

Open Settings, then Switch Business Account under Your Account. Each dealership shows its name and license number, whether it is active, and a button:

Button Meaning
Current The one you are looking at now
Switch Move to this one
Accept You have been invited but have not joined yet. Accepting also switches you

Which business are you working in?

Pick one to switch to it. An invitation you have not taken up yet says Accept.

IllustrationEvery business you can work in is listed, one row each, with the dealer licence number under the name. The row you are in is tinted and carries a blue Current chip; the others carry their own status — Active or Inactive — and the word Switch. The whole row is the button, so there is nothing separate to aim at. A bin on the right removes your access to that business. A business that has invited you but that you have not taken up says Accept instead of Switch, which is what to look for when a dealership seems to be missing from the list.

The delete button on that row gives up your access to that dealership. It does not remove the dealership or anything in it.

Three things will stop you: you cannot leave the one you are currently looking at (switch to the other one first), you cannot leave a dealership where you are the only account admin (make somebody else an admin first), and you cannot leave your last remaining dealership.

If you cannot find the dealership you expect

Section titled “If you cannot find the dealership you expect”

It is usually one of three things: you are viewing the other dealership, your access there was made inactive, or the invitation went to a different email address. Check the Switch Business Account list first — if the dealership is not on it at all, the invitation never reached this login. Resolving Login Problems walks through the rest.

Whatever you do next happens in the dealership you are currently viewing — a deal jacket, a registration or an order belongs to that one and does not appear in the other. Check the name at the bottom of the sidebar before you start anything you would not want to redo.
