Your Dashboard

The screen you land on after signing in is a set of tiles you choose. It is a summary, not a place work happens — everything on it is a shortcut into the thing it is counting.

IllustrationThe dashboard: a heading with your dealership's name under it, a date range and a Customize button on the right, and below them a grid of tiles — four across on a wide screen, two on a tablet, one on a phone. Each tile is a small icon, what it is counting, and the figure on the right. The whole tile is a link.

Two things about this screen are worth knowing because they are not obvious from looking at it:

Every tile is a link. The card itself navigates — there is no button to find. A tile showing pending deals opens the deals it counted.

The date range at the top applies to the whole screen. Last 30 Days, Month to Date, Year to Date, All Time and the rest, plus Custom for two dates of your own. A tile that looks wrong is very often a tile being asked about a different period than you have in mind — check the range before anything else.

Customize opens Customize Dashboard — “Choose which widgets to show on your dashboard.” Tick what you want, untick what you do not, Save.

There are eighteen to choose from, grouped by what they are about: your deals, your inventory, registrations, temp tag stock, the Tag & Title queue, money in and out, and what has changed recently. Nobody needs all eighteen. Most dealers settle on five or six.

The choice is yours, not your dealership’s — two people at the same dealership can have completely different dashboards, and it follows you to whichever computer you sign in on.

The orange Getting Started entry is a different thing: a checklist of what your account is still short of. Each line is something we need before some part of the app will work — your dealership’s name and addresses, your license and its PIN, your tax rates, your own name and driver license, credits on the account.

It is worth clearing early even for the lines you cannot see the point of yet, because the thing they block usually only announces itself at the moment you are trying to get something out the door. Once a line is done it drops off; when they are all done the entry stops appearing.

Verifying Dealer License and Business Information covers the documents side of that list, and Your Personal Information covers your own details.

Nothing on this screen is where work gets done. When a tile tells you something needs attention, follow it — the deal, the registration or the report it came from is where you can act on it.
