Maintaining Registrations System Access
To ensure that only valid and compliant dealers are using My Dealer Jacket’s services, the system requires all users and dealerships to maintain current and accurate documentation. This article explains the steps to update expired documents, as well as key compliance requirements for Florida dealerships.
License and ID Expiration
Section titled “License and ID Expiration”If your dealer license or your own driver license expires, you can still open Registrations and work on a record — nothing is switched off and nothing is deleted. What stops is filing: Check Florida and Issue the registration will not go through, because Florida will not accept anything from you while a required document is out of date. The app names which document is the problem and links you to the page that fixes it. Follow these steps to update your documents and get filing again:
Check for Expired Documents
Section titled “Check for Expired Documents”If your access is deactivated due to an expired dealer or driver’s license, you’ll see an Account Notice in your dashboard. Click View All to review any deficiencies, then follow the instructions to update the required documentation.
Upload New Documentation
Section titled “Upload New Documentation”Both live under Settings, and they are on two different screens because one is about you and the other is about the dealership:
- Your own renewed driver license goes on Settings → Your Account → Personal Information.
- The dealership’s renewed license goes on Settings → Dealer Management → Tax and License Numbers.

Compliance with Florida Regulations
Section titled “Compliance with Florida Regulations”Florida dealers using My Dealer Jacket’s Registrations System must adhere to several state laws and guidelines, including the following:
- 15C-16: This Florida Administrative Code outlines specific requirements for electronic filing and registration systems
- Florida Statute 320.131: Authorizes the issuance of temporary tags
- Florida Statute 320.0609: Regulates the reporting of temporary metal plate transfers
- Florida Statute 320.03(10): Allows participation in the electronic filing system (EFS)
